Midnight Meme Of The Day!

"The right thing to do is to pray in moments like this because you know what, prayer works."
- House Speaker Paul "Crazy Eyes" Ryan, 11/6/17, after 26 died in a hail of bullets in a church no less.
Prayer is no match for massive bribes from the NRA. Prayer hasn't been much of a solution to our guns gone wild problem. Prayer: It's the least you can do, so do it!

Prayer hasn't worked, not even when combined with thoughts. But, perhaps politicians, being self-serving and of limited brain power by nature, believe in lots of fairytales, probably because they know that so many voters do, too. The con is strong with them all.

Right now, I'm waiting for some douchebag politician to take a page out of "Peter Pan" and propose "Tinker Bell Solutions." Yeah, that's the ticket. Forget prayer. If we can just get everybody to clap, the problem of mass shootings will go away. We can all clap for better health, too. Next time a tumor shows up, just clap it away! Why, I bet that clapping will even clean up our air and drinking water.

all through the last 2 millennia, nearly all humans have wasted untold amounts of time and effort in prayer. I don't know the proportion of that spent on prayer for altruistic goals rather than enrichment... but it has to be a fair amount.

And any objective assessment of the results must conclude that prayer doesn't and never has worked. Many thousands died and were impoverished due to bankers' greed in the '30s thru '44. Wars only ended when enough death and destruction caused one side to give up. The holocaust only ended because WWII ended. Americans dying from hails of bullets is accelerating.

What is it called when some morons tell the rest of the morons to keep doing what hasn't ever worked for over 2000 years? If you count Judaism, it's been longer than that.

I refer you, once again, to the Einstein wisdom about insanity. It's still relevant today even though he said it many decades ago.

I'm sure if Einstein knew we americans were this fucking stupid and insane, he'd have moved back to Europe.

Prayer doesn't work unless large sums of cash changes hands between the petitioner and a self-designated Man of GAWD.
